On September 27, 2021, the Zócalo of Mexico City hosted a grand show for the 200 years of the Consummation of Independence. Pyrotech provided the pyrotechnics of that night, integrated into a staging of projection, light and sound before one of the country’s most emblematic squares.
The challenge
Bring pyrotechnics to a national commemoration in the heart of the country: a show that narrated seven passages of Mexican history, in a public square with all the safety and coordination that demands.
What we produced
Pyrotechnic effects synchronized with the event’s historical narrative, designed for the scale of the Zócalo and to accompany the peak moments of the performance, adding to the projection, lighting and music.
Why it worked
- Equal to the occasion: a 200-year milestone called for a memorable finale.
- Public-square scale: design and firing built for an open, massive venue.
- Safety and coordination at an event of the highest institutional profile.
